AUXILIARIES & GROUPS

These groups are designed for fellowship and for stewardship within the Church and Community.

Altar Guild

Several Altar Guild teams are set up to care for the altar area and furnishings.  Some tasks include: Holy Communion preparation of filling individual communion cups and/or common cup, setting out the communion wafers, clean up after service with communion, delivering altar flowers to elderly or sick,  assist the Elders if needed to set up and clean up for a Baptism, laundering altar linens when soiled.

Altar Guild – Festival Decorating Committee

This group decorates the sanctuary for special services and the high feasts – Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Food Pantry

Trinity has been serving congregation members and those in need of supplemental food in our community for many years.  75% of our food comes from donations and much of this is from our Trinity congregation; however, donations also come from Peace Lutheran in Neenah, The Boy Scouts of America,  Menasha Postal Carriers, the Menasha Lions Club and member Pat Harder donated hams for our Christmas baskets.  The food pantry supplies food to recipients the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month throughout the year.    Special food baskets are made at Easter, Thanksgiving, & Christmas. Volunteers are needed to help sort, stack and pack bags – especially during the holidays.  This past Christmas, all food pantry recipients were given a food basket along with gifts donated from members to the Giving Tree.  Interested in helping with the pantry?   Call Marc & Sandra Guiley.

Gardening

Volunteers maintain Trinity Church & School grounds during the summer months.

Ladies Aid

A group of women get together for a fun meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the name of the Lord.  The meeting starts with a short Bible study and then we discuss projects, do fun things, have speakers and much more.  We also help with funerals.  We are members of LWML, which holds rallies, retreats and National Conventions.  All are fun to attend and very uplifting through Christ our Lord.  All women are welcome -- no one is too young or too old.

Lutherans For Life

Lutherans For Life is a positive "For Life" ministry. LFL is able to encourage, educate and uplift with a Gospel centered message of hope, forgiveness and new life. We have a local chapter that joins with other LCMS congregations - we are always looking for new members.

Mature Men’s Maintenance Ministry

This group is generally made up of retired men of Trinity but anyone with extra time is welcome.  All members bring some special knowledge.   They meet the first Monday of the month at 9:00am to discuss and do many tasks that need attention at Trinity.  Tasks include electrical, plumbing, painting, caulking, carpentry, etc.  The goal of these men is to productively use their time and talents to serve as caretakers to God and to the church and school property.
